Who it is for

Orthodontics is not only aesthetics: a correct bite improves chewing, hygiene and joint health. We treat children, teenagers and adults, each with the approach best suited to their growth stage.

  • Children: interceptive orthodontics to guide bone growth at the right time
  • Teenagers: correcting crowding and malocclusion with braces or dedicated aligners
  • Adults: clear aligners to correct without sacrificing aesthetics, also before prosthetics or implants

Clear aligners: Invisalign and Spark

Dr. Irene is certified in both Invisalign and Spark, the two leading aligner systems. The choice depends on the clinical case, not the brand: both move teeth in a programmed way with nearly invisible, removable trays.

The decisive advantage is digital planning: with the intraoral scanner and 3D simulation you see the expected result before even starting.

Complex and surgical cases

For impacted canines, significant skeletal discrepancies or surgical-orthodontic cases, we integrate mini-screws and, where needed, combined paths. FACE training with Dr. Renato Cocconi and the university specialisation allow us to handle even the most demanding situations with precision.

The journey, step by step

From the first visit to the final smile

  1. 1 · The first visit

The journey starts with a key moment to build trust and gather the information we need. We carry out a full clinical examination of the dental and skeletal situation, review any X-rays or models you already have, and share first guidance.

    • Immediate treatment with data collection prescribed for the case study
    • Periodic monitoring with six-monthly recalls to assess growth and tooth change
    • Preventive strategies if treatment is not yet needed
  2. 2 · The case study

An accurate diagnosis is the key to an effective plan. We collect detailed data with advanced tools:

    • Facial and intraoral photographs to analyse face, teeth and bite
    • Digital arch scanning, replacing traditional impressions for maximum comfort
    • Cephalometric tracing with profile analysis, to assess the aesthetic impact of movements
    • 3D simulations of tooth movements, to preview the expected result
    • Panoramic X-ray, to study dental structure and tooth change in children
    • Lateral cephalogram, for bone bases, growth prospects and tooth inclinations
    • 3D CBCT for complex cases: temporomandibular joints or impacted teeth
  3. 3 · The treatment plan

Once the case study is complete, we design a tailored plan. Options include:

    • Interceptive orthodontics: to guide dental and skeletal growth in children
    • Corrective orthodontics: for teens and adults, against misalignment and malocclusion
    • Clear aligners (Invisalign and Spark): discreet and comfortable, for a smile without visible braces
    • Fixed and removable braces: traditional methods for effective correction
    • Gnathological bites: for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders
  4. 4 · Documented clinical outcomes

A correct bite improves chewing function and smile balance. Below are two real cases treated at the practice: drag the slider to compare the initial and final situation.

Young patient: an interceptive case

A 7-year-old girl with a Class III malocclusion, treated with an 18-month interceptive programme: early intervention corrected growth and prevented future alignment problems.

Adult patient: impaction and harmony

A 30-year-old patient with an impacted canine: exposure and subsequent alignment restored a harmonious smile and correct chewing function.

Frequently asked questions

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

From 6 months for minor crowding to 18-24 months for complex cases. The precise duration is defined after the case study with scanning and 3D simulation.

Are the aligners visible?

They are clear and practically invisible at conversation distance. They are worn about 22 hours a day.

Invisalign or Spark?

It depends on the clinical case. Being certified in both, we choose the system best suited to your goals, not the brand.
